too bad Joan Osborne wasn't old enough to be around with them back in the day. Holy crap does she sound great with Phil and Friends. That new soundboard Phil dropped us is absolutely stunning - the shakedown > cumberland and candyman are pure ear candy.

You bet! Joan sounds great with Phil & Friends, she more or less saved an otherwise "distracted" show I saw last May 19th at the Warfield. They were filming for a DVD and the bright white stagelights blasted straight at us (balcony)all friggin night, it was sooo irratating! (to me anyway, extra 420 and Joan made it a bit better)

how was that may 19th show - you mentions "distracted" - what do you mean by that - was it the lights or just kinda a disjointed show?

the bright stage lights glaring into me eye's! They were filming a lot of audience shots i guess. VERY distracting and a bummer. The best view was when someone in the seat in front of me blocked the lights. Maybe it's just me being old and ornery - anyone else there on that run?
